Cases
- Won a jury defense verdict for a ski resort in a closely watched, $97 million catastrophic injury case in Vermont.
- Won a $340,000 damages award for a pro bono client whose landlord brought an eviction suit against them. WTO's client brought counter-claims for their landlord after physically attacking them and threatening their family, turning off their heat and water, and failing to repair electrical and dangerous conditions. The landlord's eviction case was dismissed for failure to prosecute, and an evidentiary hearing on damages was set, in which the court ordered $100,000 in additional punitive damages on top of our client's request.
- Served as second chair in multiple mediations involving employment discrimination and retaliation claims.
- Drafted a successful opposition motion to dismiss in a case involving age discrimination claims.
- Assisted with drafting a successful opposition to motion for summary judgment in a case involving ERISA claims.
- Represented individuals in pre-suit negotiations with current and future employers in discrimination cases.
- Represented clients in both individual and class action litigation brought under Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and others.
